Monday April 8 & Tuesday April 9, 19.30 - 21.30

Embrace your femininity, and put your belly and hips to work in this unique fusion workshop. A great opportunity to get a taste of Brazilian Zouk and Bellydance. In this workshop we will be learning the basics of both dance styles and mixing them up. Brazilian Zouk is well known for its iconic body and head movements, turns and freedom of expression. We will be learning some typical smooth and sensual upper and lower body isolations and head/hair movements. After that we will dive into the mysterious world of tribal fusion bellydance: From slow, snake-like moves to sizzling shimmies and sharp locks. In the last part of the workshop it's time to play around: what happens when we mix these 2 fun dance styles together? Join us, and you will find out 🙂

Léa Audrain was born in France where she started dancing modern jazz at the age of 7. Before the age of 18 she also added hip-hop and some ballet to her curriculum. But her true passion she found in gymnastics. She was competing at national level in France. After moving to Belgium in 2012 she started exploring couple dances: rock ‘n’ roll, salsa, bachata and kizomba. In 2016 she discovered Brazilian Zouk, and she fell in love immediately. She started traveling to learn and practice this dance and participated in more than 20 international events. Léa is intensivly training with the best professional Zouk dancers at this moment. In 2017 she partnered up with Stijn Herregodts to start teaching and building a Brazilian Zouk dance scene in Ghent. The success of the growing Zouk scene in Ghent motivates her to continue growing and improving as a dancer and to continue spreading her contagious love for this dance.
